Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is a Japanese term usually translated as "Universal
Life Force". It is made up of two ideograms; Rei meaning "Universal"
and Ki meaning "Life Force". However the Bhuddists refer to
it differently - "The Indomitable Power of Being".
Reiki energy is a subtle vertical flow , Ki is horizontal flow. It is
different than electricity or chemical energy or other kinds of physical
energy. Reiki energy comes from a Higher Source, which exists on a higher
dimension than the physical world we are familiar with.
How Does REIKI Work ?
Reiki healing moves through the healer and dispels blocks of negativity
before being channeled through the recipient.
Dis-ease is seen as a blockage to the flow of energy through the body.
Healing is removal of such blockages. It then rebalances energy within.
It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical
body causing the negative energy to break apart and fall away, This is
where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. In so doing, Reiki
clears, straightens and helps to heal the energy pathways, thus allowing
the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.
What is it used for?
When illness is severe it does not replace conventional treatment but
it can work with it, helping to speed recovery. Reiki is complementary
to authodox and other treatments.
Reiki may help in many situations - it makes no diagnoses.
